Pattern Drafting Instructions Library

This page is an overview of all the Pattern Drafting Instructions I’ve created. As always, we have different bodies so use this library as a source of information and not as the gold standard. I’ll keep adding patterns to the list as soon as I make them myself, but I would LOVE your feedback. Are you interested in the instructions? Would you rather have the patterns?

I would advise you to start by looking into the Basic Block Foundations before you look into the pattern drafting instructions. Most of the designs in this library use a basic Foundation so you will need it. Also, it’s good to familiarize yourself with my way of teaching before you take in a big project.

This library is all about DRAFTING patterns and not about SEWING them, so have that in mind when choosing your design.

TOPS

This is an overview of all the Tops Pattern Instructions I’ve created. Take a look and choose your favourite!

SKIRTS

Skirts are the easiest block out of them all, so if you’re a beginner you’ll want to start with these patterns. Check them out!

SLEEVES

Normal sleeves are over rated. What about going crazy and adding a lantern sleeve? Or a bishop sleeve? These patterns can be added to any of your Top patterns, so feel free to select whichever one you like!

TROUSERS

Trousers are my favourite thing to make. It’s the clothing piece I think gives the most shape to your body, so use them wisely!

ELASTIC FABRICS

All the patterns covered before are for Woven fabrics, but what about elastic fabrics? Here you’ll find similar patterns but that can be used with fabrics with elasticity. These patterns are easier than you think!

OTHERS

We’ve covered all the basic blocks, but what about hats? Underwear? Dungarees? Aprons and more? You’ll be able to find all of those in here!
